Rescue - salvage studio style

Beth and I went on a salvage operation Thursday. A family friend's house in Edmonds, slated to be torn down, contained a few treasures we were able to rescue. The biggest and brightest is a stained glass window from Bonney-Watson Mortuary. We are all about salvage with a story behind it.

Beth was also very brave and went up into the attic of the workshop on the property. Between the two of us we managed to get a great carved wooden chair frame down some rickety homemade stairs. Where there is a will, there is a way!

Look for some of our terrific finds at the studio in the very near future. -Lisa

What terrific finds! I especially like the stained glass window. And I would have gone into the attic to see what I could find too! As you said, where there's a will...Once in Cambridge, England I bought a bicycle and we were driving a small car. My husband insisted it wouldn't fit in the car; I insisted it would. And it did - after we removed the seats in the back and I piled luggage one on top of the other! If I'd listened to him, I wouldn't have the nifty red retro bike! :)

Thanks for the link on your sidebar. Am so glad to have discovered your blog! Will be back to visit often.

All the best,
